I believe that history, both personal and general, is palimpsest. That is, in the nearly unceasing process of being, or as I prefer becoming, that histories ‘what was’ is superimposed by what is and what will be perceived or conceptualised. That in our restless movement through our lives and culture we create and recreate our history through our understanding, or misunderstanding, of reality. This artistic license creates humanities existence and beliefs. Art and anarchic, yet rational, thought colour my perception of this terrible yet beautiful world and the ghostly palimpsest of humanities stories echo through my mind, concepts stir with frustrated enthusiasm longing to be whispered… and so I will give them breath and voice within my text.
